We remind ourselves daily that quality and hospitality go hand in hand, there’s no hierarchy. We also feature local artists on our Local Art wall, community events, coffee classes, and support other local artisans through our annual Buy Local Event. Roots Coffee & Co was the Salt Lake City’s Best Coffee Shop Winner 2022. Our Coffee Shop is a modern coffee shop in the Granary District of Salt Lake City serving coffee, teas, and pastries.

We’re aiming to create a comfortable environment for customers to engage with our team. We’re fortunate enough to partner with a relatively new company called Good Luck Soda. They’ll provide freshly made seasonal sodas that we’ll feature on tap. We also have our in-house creative team or “culture team” to thank for interior design choices, signage, trays, and merchandise.
Sipping Our Way to Sugar House
There are an average of 8 hands that touch every single bean before it ends up in our cups, and in order to honor the farm to cup process, we want to present them in a way that makes them shine. We search for better ways of brewing, research new equipment and methods, and create ways for our customers to learn about the work that goes into each cup starting from the seed. Our approach is nothing new but we firmly believe and work hard to embody hospitality. The energy and effort we put into our coffee should only be as important as the people we’re serving. We believe that serving delicious coffee is the vessel for us to connect with our community.

We’ve always been committed to serving great coffee and being a part of the local tapestry. With its rich history, exciting culture, and sense of community, Sugar House perfectly aligns with our mission to serve more than just a cup of coffee. The space we’re entering into used to be an old barber shop (which we think is pretty great). The focus of the space will be our long bar, almost like an old saloon. Customers will have the option to queue up in the front for quick takeaway drinks or wrap around to enjoy different “to stay” drink options. The goal for the space will be to create interaction between our customers and servers.

Best coffee I’ve had in my life, and I’ve had a lot of coffee from all over the world. They roast their own beans and these beans serve as an excellent foundation to all of their espresso drinks.
